Aaron is a Senior Associate in the Planning and Environment, Local Government and Public Sector Team at Harwood Andrews
Aaron advises public and private clients in all areas of planning law and regularly appears as an advocate before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Planning Panels Victoria. He has assisted public authorities, municipal councils, private submitters and developer clients with a range of major hearings covering topics such as structure planning and infrastructure contributions (regional, growth area and infill), heritage listing and development proposals, assessment of environmental effects, rural subdivision, proposals with adverse amenity impacts, and complex questions of law. He provides pragmatic and strategic advice on a wide range of planning and environment matters, and regularly prepares and negotiates complex section 173 agreements.
Aaron joined Harwood Andrews in 2015 after gaining experience in the public sector providing advice & recommendations to a statutory decision-making body. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University (2014) and has also studied at the College of Law (Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, 2015) and Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic, 2014). In 2021 Aaron completed the Master of Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies at Deakin University. As part of the masters program, Aaron focused on heritage planning matters, including a research project regarding historic urban landscapes.
In the community Aaron is a Director of Anam Cara House Geelong and Secretary of the Highton Tennis Club.
