This webinar is aimed at leaders and directors of not-for-profits and charities.
Are you a not-for-profit organisation? Not-for-profits are not just charities - they can be schools, sporting clubs or hobby clubs. If you are involved in a not-for-profit organisation, no matter how large or small, then this event is for you.
We are very pleased to host the Assistant Commissioner - General Counsel of the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC), Natasha Sekulic who will provide the ACNC’s view of the sector, along with information to support compliance and improved governance.
Natasha is the senior legal advisor to the ACNC Commissioner and contributes to corporate and strategic leadership as a member of the Executive team.
Harwood Andrews Principal Paul Gray will speak with members of the Meli Executive Team Grant Boyd (CEO), Anneliese Knell (ED, People & Capability) and Bernadette McCartney (ED, Services) on learnings and insights from their recent merger and reflections on the funding and workforce challenges facing their business and the broader sector.
Meli is a Victorian not-for-profit committed to strengthening communities through supporting people.
It offers a unique combination of services to support members of the community throughout their lifetime, from early childhood through to adolescence and adulthood.
Grant Boyd is the CEO of Meli. Grant has worked extensively in the not-for-profit, government and private sectors in the fields of education, community services, disability and health where he has held practitioner, leadership and consulting roles.
Anneliese is a psychologist and executive leader with demonstrated experience in the not for profit and government sectors in the areas of corporate services, education, early years and community services. As the Executive Director of People and Capability, Anneliese is responsible for leading a directorate focused on building Meli to be a dynamic, learning and inclusive organisation.
Bernadette has over thirty years’ experience in the social services field with much of that time working and managing across the domestic violence, community mental health, child, family and complex needs sectors.
With formal training in Education and Social Work, Bernadette is passionate in ensuring under resourced communities gain greater access to assets and their needs are better represented by those in decision making roles.
Creating social systems that support and complement, are fundamental to what drives Bernadette’s professional life and she works hard at strategic partnerships that enable these alignments.
