Rod applies deep knowledge and extensive experience across a diverse range of business law areas to help private and public sector clients achieve their objectives. Rod is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a specialist in business law and has been practicing law for nearly 40 years.

A key element of Rod’s practice is the provision of practical advice to clients in relation to transactions, the effects of commercial structures and related tax matters. Rod is particularly interested in working alongside other advisors to clients to ensure all aspects of a transaction are addressed in the most effective manner.

Rod has a special interest in corporate governance and primary production and has an appreciation of the challenging environment the regional and rural community operates in, and the complexities of, agribusiness and projects in a regional and rural environment. Rod is regularly involved in succession planning and implementation for farming families, as well assisting public sector clients operate in this setting.

Rod regularly presents to client and accountant groups on matters of professional interest, such as governance, asset protection and business structuring and succession.
